Staying grounded and grateful
Let's end the year with (more) gratitude.
Around this time last year, I was struggling to make ends meet. I was hesitant to dip into my emergency funds, stretching every dollar I could. It was a period of turbulence, unsure if I was heading in the right direction or where I should go.
Fast forward to today, things are a lot peaceful now. The direction is still hazy, but the fog has mostly cleared up. Turns out, my one-month gig became half a year, and I’ve met different people along the way with various interesting journeys.
Some burn with passion that lights the spark in me. Being an INFJ, writing about their stories is easier, as I can feel their emotions strongly. As a solopreneur treading in uncharted waters, I can understand their pains and how even a small achievement is a big milestone.
Every time I write about someone’s journey, I’d be happy if my audience feels inspired and motivated by these stories of success or resilience. It didn’t occur to me that my words would mean a lot to the ones being written.
I mean, sure, having your story published in mainstream media is great publicity. But to treat it as a blessing, not a guarantee, was something I learned. And often, it is those passionate ones who are filled with more gratitude.
We’re nearing the end of 2025, and I hope to emulate the gratitude of these amazing people I’ve met, to be more grateful for all the opportunities and experiences that come my way.
P.S. Coincidentally, today’s also Thanksgiving! What an apt time to be inspired to post about this.
